Pinot Noir Lovers frequently ask about the various clones of the grape. There are well over 1000 different clones of Pinot Noir with a good dozen being widely planted throughout the West Coast of the United States. Undoubtedly, there are significant differences between clones but whether these differences result in radically different tasting wines is up for debate. Likewise, whether or not these clonal differences trump site or farming is a topic of discussion.
