The 2024 vintage at Rosella’s Vineyard was characterized by warm periods (a week to 10 days or warmer, but not hot weather), followed by a similar period of cooler weather. I waited until one of these cooler periods, and rode it out until the end, taking full advantage of the mild ripening weather. The result is a wine with great red fruit flavors, a richer mid-palate, and youthful chalky tannins. This wine is beautiful immediately, but should only gain in appeal as it softens with time in the bottle.
“Our favorite of the trio for drinking early on, Rosella’s Pinot Noir opens with a floral nose and on the palate offers a refined character rich with red fruit and superb balance with a lively interplay between fruit and acidity. The mouthfeel is silky and seductive, and the finish is exceptionally persistent.” – I-Wine Review
