The Santa Lucia Highlands is a Pinot Noir made from barrels sourced from Rosella's Vineyard and Garys' Vineyard. This purposeful blend is usually less new oak so more fruit flavors can shine through and should continue to evolve for a decade.
We source two acres from the Garys' Vineyard for this Pisoni Clone Pinot Noir. These two sections are significantly distanced that one ripens considerably sooner than the other, yet both sections are picked at the same time. This results in plenty of ripeness with beautiful fruit and purity. Decant if you're going to drink before 2023.
Fruit for this wine comes from two acres at Rosella's Vineyard, two different sections and two different clones - Pommard and Pisoni. A beautifully balanced profile, this wine can be enjoyed any time over the coming decade.
